Clean Sport 101 for Athlete Support Personnel

This course is FREE of charge for anyone required to complete it for major Games (such as credentialed staff for the Olympics, Paralympics, Pan American, and Parapan-American Games). This course is designed to ensure that athlete support staff understand the relevant anti-doping rules for both them and the athletes they serve. Users should have received a code from the USOPC but if they have not, please contact the education team by email at education@USADA.org.

This comprehensive eLearning course is intended for individuals supporting athletes in their journey to complete clean. Being knowledgeable of and compliant with anti-doping policies as well as fostering positive anti-doping attitudes is key to a level playing field. By the conclusion of the course, learners should:

♦ Understand the purpose and importance of clean sport
♦ Be prepared for and informed about anti-doping processes and policies, as well as Athlete and Athlete Support Personnel's rights and responsibilities
♦ Become familiar with categories of prohibited substances and methods, how to apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE), the process for collecting urine and blood samples, athlete Whereabouts, risks associated with dietary supplement use, and the results management process
♦ Identify resources to make educated decisions
♦ Become an informed advocate of and participant in clean sport
